Village News June 2018

The Village Council met on Monday, May 21st for their regular monthly meeting.  They approved the purchase of a new snow plow truck from Selking International Trucks in South Bend

The water department would like to remind village residents to please keep growth around the water meters trimmed.  Also please keep in mind that the village has a noxious weeds and grass ordinance. Any grasses and uncultivated vegetation the height of which exceeds ten (10) inches except trees, shrubs, bushes, wild flowers, cultivated flowers, ground cover, plants or gardens shall be subject to the enforcement provisions of this Ordinance.  You can read the ordinance in its entirety as well as penalties for violation on the village website at villageofedwardsburg.org.

Pleasant lake residents are still dealing with flooding issues.  The county drain commissioner has been working on a solution, but in the meantime the village has placed a barricade at the end of Lake Street by Gunn Park to reduce boat traffic on the lake.  This is a temporary barricade and it will be removed once the water level recedes.
